FIDVI

Manufacturing

From Paper to Possibility.

The process below is how paper and board become finished packaging. It is the reason FIDVI is a manufacturer.

Guiding idea

Material → Requirement → Structure. Paper and board are selected for the packaging requirement, then converted through a clear manufacturing sequence.

  1. Jumbo kraft paper reels staged on a packaging factory floor

    01

    Paper Reel Selection

The process begins with selecting paper and board material for the packaging requirement.

Material choice follows the packaging requirement — what the pack must protect, how it will be handled, and how it should present. Supplier names and material grades are confirmed against each order rather than listed as fixed catalogue specs.

  2. Corrugating and converting machine with conveyor on a factory floor

    02

    Corrugation

Paper is processed into corrugated board, forming the structural foundation of corrugated packaging.

Corrugation creates the fluted board structure that gives corrugated packaging its strength and cushioning. It is the foundation for boxes and shipper formats that need reliable handling.

  3. Close view of corrugated board layers showing fluting and liners

    03

    Pasting

Layers are bonded together to form the required board structure.

Paper, fluting and adhesion come together so the board holds as a single structure ready for conversion.

  4. Rotary slotter with creasing and slotting wheels for board conversion

    04

    Creasing

Creasing prepares packaging structures for controlled folding and dimensional consistency.

Fold lines are prepared for controlled folding, structural precision and repeatability across the run.

  5. Printer slotter converting corrugated board on a factory floor

    05

    Printing / Conversion

Where the requirement calls for it, packaging moves through printing and conversion.

Depending on the requirement, packaging may move through printing and related conversion. Printed or unprinted finishes are discussed against the brief — not assumed.

  6. Flatbed die-cutting and converting line for packaging blanks

    06

    Slotting / Die Cutting

Structures are converted into their final shapes and configurations.

Slotting and die cutting turn board into finished shapes and configurations. This stage is especially relevant for customized and special-shaped packaging.

  7. Semi-automatic carton stitching machine on a factory floor

    07

    Stitching / Pasting

Boxes are assembled through stitching or pasting, according to the product.

Assembly uses stitching or pasting according to the product. The method follows what the structure needs, not a one-size approach.

  8. Cut section of corrugated board showing flute profiles

    08

    Quality Inspection

Finished packaging is inspected before it is prepared for dispatch.

Inspection looks at material selection, dimensional accuracy, board strength, printing where applicable, pasting or stitching, and overall structural consistency before bundling.

  9. Stacks of finished cartons stored in a packaging warehouse

    09

    Bundling & Packing

Finished products are organized and packed for handling and dispatch.

Finished packaging is organized and packed so it can be handled, stored and prepared for dispatch without damaging the work already done.

  10. Workers loading corrugated boxes into a delivery van

    10

    Dispatch

Completed packaging is prepared for customer delivery.

Completed packaging is prepared for customer delivery — connecting manufacturing, packing and the next hand-off to the business that ordered it.

Structural foundation

Board Before the Box.

Corrugation and pasting create the board that later stages crease, print, slot or die-cut. The sequence is why FIDVI is positioned as a manufacturer.
